Podcaster Joe Rogan has claimed that many unexpected sources, including “hippies” and “artists”, have privately thanked him for endorsing Donald Trump for president.
Rogan delivered his endorsement just one day before the election, after sitting down with Elon Musk for a two-hour interview and introducing the Republican candidate on his show.
“He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you will ever hear, and I agree with him every step of the way,” the podcaster wrote about the Tesla CEO.
‘For the record, yes, that is an endorsement of Trump. Enjoy the podcast.’
He has since said that artists, musicians and comedians approached him after the incident and thanked him for speaking out.
“A lot of what people say, they say because they don’t want people to attack them,” Rogan told civil rights attorney Josh Dubin on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience on Wednesday.
‘They say it because they think that if they say it, they will come clean and be fine.
‘If you say you support “x” – you may not even support “x” – but if you say you support “x”, you’re not going to be attacked and the right people will leave you alone or agree with you. and appreciate or praise you.’

Rogan delivered his endorsement just one day before the election, after sitting down with Elon Musk for a two-hour interview and introducing the Republican candidate on his show.
He then claimed that many creatives and people who were previously associated with liberal movements told him that they were actually Trump supporters, without naming any names.
“There’s a lot of that out there,” Rogan said. ‘There are many people who don’t say what they think. Do you know (how many) artists that have reached out to me are like fucking hippies, man, like artists, like musicians, comedians, who thanked me for endorsing Trump because you can’t do it?
‘They said they wanted to do it, but they didn’t want to be attacked. “They can’t tell,” Rogan said.
“They think the country is going in the wrong direction,” he said, stating that they also oppose “this government control of social media, which we would have had virtually in its entirety if it weren’t for Elon buying Twitter.” ‘
Rogan also argued that having the media dominated by one party is “a dangerous precedent that can be set, whether it’s a right-wing or left-wing government.”
‘And that’s what happens in the UK, where people are jailed for tweets and Facebook posts. It’s fucking crazy, mind-blowing. This is all crazy,’ he continued.
‘And it’s a dangerous path we were on. We were on that path.
“Trump has promised that free speech will become a very important part of what he stands for, and that this censorship of information must end, and that we must stop all government influence on what people have to say.”
Rogan said he agreed with Elon Musk “every step of the way” as he explained his support for the Republican candidate.
“That shouldn’t be as revolutionary as it is,” Dubin responded.
“I know, it should be a fundamental principle,” Rogan said. “It’s essentially the First Amendment.”
Many Hollywood celebrities had expressed their support for Vice President Kamala Harris before the presidential election; Oprah and Beyoncé even joined the vice president on stage at her campaign events.
It has since been alleged she paid exorbitant seven-figure sums to A-list sponsors, although Winfrey and others have denied the claims.
There is also no record on the FEC website of the Harris campaign paying celebrities like Megan Thee Stallion, Megan Pete, or Megan Thee Stallion.
