Joe Lycett revealed he is in a new relationship when he opened up about his sexuality during a new series of Late Night Lycett on Channel 4.
In the past, the comedian, 35, admitted that he tends to not put enough effort into his love life due to his busy work schedule.
However, during the new series which began on Friday, he revealed to viewers that he now has a mystery girlfriend, having previously told Attitude magazine that his idea of a perfect partner would be “someone to lie around eating chocolate with”. That’s the dream.
He told viewers: “A lot of things have changed since the last series, I have some news and that is that I have a girlfriend.”
“I’ve talked about being bisexual for years, but people assume I’m gay based on my whole personality…yeah, I have a girlfriend and people have been really nice about it.”

Joe also joked that he received a letter from the Pope about his new relationship that said “one less.”
Elsewhere on the show, the comedian also revealed that he made up four stories widely covered in the media.
Joe is often known for his high-profile stunts, including when he changed his name to Hugo Boss in 2020.
He also blew up £10,000 in a high-profile row with David Beckham, who he criticized for being Qatar’s ambassador during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
During the show, Joe did not reveal what stories he had made up.
However, he asked fans to guess and confirmed that all would be revealed on his new series of Late Night Lycett on Friday night.
The comedian then stayed true to his word by revealing the stories he had brought up during the episode.
He proceeded to reveal that he was behind the made-up story that “Brummies have the biggest penises” after The Daily Star reported: “A new annual study by Myriad Researching for Spartan Layers, a leading clothing brand male interior, found that guys in Birmingham have the biggest penises. Higher average virility in the UK.
Joe was also behind a “mysterious” mural in Birmingham that showed Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz reaching for a pair of ruby heels hanging from a nearby electrical wire.
However, during the new series which began on Friday, he revealed to viewers that he now has a girlfriend.
He told viewers: “A lot of things have changed since the last series, I have some news and that is that I have a girlfriend.”
And the nighttime appearance of the ‘mysterious’ mural had people turning, with rumors circulating that it could be the work of famous artist Banksy.
However, the popular street artist has since confirmed that the work is not his and rumors about who the Banksy ‘impersonator’ is may make national headlines.
Joe and his team were also reportedly behind a recent news story in which someone had a bruise on their leg in the shape of “Prince Harry’s face.”
Earlier this month it was claimed that a ‘footballer’ called ‘Adam Price’ suffered a bruise in the exact shape of Prince Harry’s face during a five-a-side match in Birmingham.
However, Joe revealed on Friday that it was actually “fake news” and the comedian also comically claimed that the photo of “Adam Price” was a photo of him on vacation.
It comes after the comedian also revealed that four stories covered at length in the last week were made up by him during his new Channel 4 show.
