Joe Joyce returns to the ring this weekend against veteran heavyweight campaigner Christian Hammer.
The ‘Juggernaut’ was expected to face off in a highly anticipated clash against former world champion Joseph Parker, before the New Zealander signed with air sportswho puts that deal on hold.
Promoter Ben Shalom revealed earlier this week that he has made an offer to step up the fight Sky Sports box office later this year, but Joyce also has his eyes on the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua, while To pull a joke Promoter Bob Arum has talked out a showdown against Tyson Fury.
Joyce, undefeated in 13 games, took an impressive knockout victory over Carlos Takam last July, having retired Daniel Dubois from heavyweight the year before.

However, the 36-year-old has not been as active as he would have liked, in part due to a wrist injury – from which he has since recovered – which forced him out of the ring earlier this year.
Hammer certainly knows his way around a ring, having been with the likes of Fury, the Gypsy King’s cousin, Hughie, Luis Ortiz, and Alexander Povetkin, though he lost on each occasion.
The 34-year-old took under a lap to stop journeyman Drazan Janjanin in May after losing on points to Frank Sanchez earlier this year. Joyce is expected to pass the test with little difficulty.
