President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden completely ignored Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff on Sunday.
The two couples sat next to each other during the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday.
When they were announced at the arts awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., the president and first lady didn’t even look in the second couple’s direction.
Instead, the two were all smiles as they waved and greeted a cheering crowd before taking their seats. They even looked in the direction of Harris and Emhoff, but looked right past them.
The audience gave a one-minute standing ovation for the President and Dr. Biden.
During this time, the Bidens did not acknowledge Harris or Emhoff, who stood right next to them and joined the crowd in cheering the outgoing president.
The awkward meeting comes as reports emerge that the relationship between the first and second couple continues to deteriorate after the vice president took over the 2024 presidential election for the first time during the 2024 elections.
