Joe Biden welcomes WWE star Becky Lynch to the White House on St. Patrick’s Day ahead of his title match with Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40

WWE superstar Becky Lynch visited US President Joe Biden at the White House for St Patrick’s Day alongside other high-profile Irish figures.

On Sunday, The Man posted photos from her trip to the nation’s capital as she expressed her gratitude for the experience.

Dressed in white, Lynch posted a photo of herself holding her autobiography “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Girl” in front of the White House, followed by a photo with Biden. She also published excerpts from her relaxation and one of her books kept in the White House library.

“It was an honor to represent Ireland and @WWE on St. Patrick’s Day at the White House,” Lynch captioned the post.

“@POTUS said Becky Balboa won everything in Philly, had a pint and even filed the library with a little gift.”

Lynch will face Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia next month.

Ripley won the Smackdown Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023. The title was later renamed in June 2023 during Ripley’s reign.

On the other hand, Lynch was the first winner of the title and held it four times during her career. She also held the NXT Women’s Championship, the Raw Women’s Championship twice, and the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Lita.

St. Patrick’s Day was not the first time Biden hosted prominent Irish figures this week, as he hosted Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar at the White House on Friday.

Biden wore a green tie, as the Oval Office was decorated with a bowl of shamrocks in front of the fireplace. The two men attended a luncheon at the United States Capitol to celebrate a century of diplomatic relations between Ireland and the United States.
