President Joe Biden mocked Donald Trump’s massive legal debt and called Ted Cruz a “loser” as he asked Texans for their support.

The president spoke at two major fundraisers Wednesday evening in an upscale Dallas neighborhood, where he has raised more than $2.5 million for his re-election campaign.

He began his remarks by attacking his Republican rival.

The crowd of around a hundred people burst into laughter and applause.

Trump’s legal debts could total nearly half a billion dollars.

In New York, a judge fined Trump $355 million, plus interest, after ruling he manipulated his net worth in his financial statements. The state could seize his assets if Trump can’t pay.

New York Attorney General Letitia James noted that the interest payments totaled $99 million and “will continue to increase each day until they are paid.”

The former president was also ordered to pay $83.3 million to writer E. Jean Carroll for tarnishing his reputation after accusing him of sexual assault.

Biden spent most of the night tearing apart the opposition.

He asked the crowd to not only elect him, but to send the Democratic Senate candidate to Washington so that Republican Senator “Ted Cruz would join another loser, Donald Trump.”

Biden, 81, noted that there is a lot of talk about his and Trump’s age.

“I’m 41,” Biden joked as the crowd laughed.

But Biden added: “That’s about the age of our ideals.”

The president also criticized Trump for the problems at the border, blaming the mess on his rival.

“Trump didn’t just sow chaos among Americans. He also sowed chaos at the U.S. border,” Biden said.

He blamed the former president for killing a bipartisan border bill in Congress by opposing it. The bill passed the Senate, but House Speaker Mike Johnson declined to introduce it after Trump announced his opposition.

“Unlike Trump, I will not demonize immigrants,” Biden said.

The incumbent president won both states in the 2020 election, but Trump is currently leading in the polls.
