Joe Alwyn made a low-key arrival in Milan, Italy, ahead of Fashion Week on Sunday, after breaking his silence on his shocking split from Taylor Swift.
The actor, 33, shielded his face with a baseball cap and sunglasses as he arrived at his hotel and chatted with a group of people outside.
While opening up about his past relationship for the first time this week, Joe, who is notoriously secretive about his personal life, described his time with the pop star, 34, as “long, loving” and “totally committed” in an interview with The Sunday Times style.
She was all smiles upon her arrival in Italy’s fashion capital, opting for a casual oversized cardigan and a plain white T-shirt.

When asked if he listened to their latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, which is rumored to be about their breakup, he said: “Thinking about what I was going to say, I would think and hope that everyone can empathize… This is not a direct answer to your question, but simply think about what I want to talk about.
“I hope everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that arise at the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,” Joe continued.
The Talks with Friends star admitted that the end of her long-term relationship has been “a difficult thing to deal with.”
Taylor has yet to speak publicly about the breakup, but has since moved on with NFL star Travis Kelce.
His only comments have come through songs, and several tracks on The Tortured Poets Department are understood to be about Joe.
In one song in particular, LOML, Taylor heartbreakingly sings, “I wish we could remember how we almost had it all…”
Last year in April, it was confirmed that Swift and Alwyn had officially gone their separate ways after dating for six years. The singer has since moved on with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Following the album’s announcement, a source told DailyMail.com that Alwyn feels it would be “shady” if Taylor criticized him on The Tortured Poets Department.
“Joe hasn’t said a word about Taylor or their breakup and has been completely respectful to her,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com. “It’s undeniable that the name of her next album is a reference to Joe’s WhatsApp group chat.”
The source continued: ‘Taylor hit him over the name of this when they were together. She didn’t want people to think it had anything to do with her, so when he talked about it, she, of course, got upset.
