Jodie Marsh has revealed that a crazed fan once tricked her into dating him and has now taken a break from men as she focuses on running her Fripps Farm animal sanctuary.

Jodie Marsh has revealed that a crazed fan once tricked her into dating him.

The glamorous model was a lads’ magazine darling and the ultimate sex symbol when she rose to fame in the 2000s.

However, she revealed that becoming every man’s fantasy had its dark side, as she reflected on her tumultuous dating history and her pursuit of a string of “weirdos”.

During an exclusive interview with MailOnline, the 45-year-old animal activist explained that she now “has no time for dating” because she is busy running Fripps Farm, but that she has no problem taking a break after a series of bad experiences.

Reflecting on his troubled love history, he admitted: “I think I’m the unluckiest person in the world when it comes to love. I’ve met narcissists, manipulators, wife beaters, sexual abusers, child molesters. You name it, I’ve had it all.”

Reflecting on a shocking encounter, Jodie recalled: ‘One of my exes was stalking me so much that he had researched everything about me down to the last detail and decided to ‘bump into’ me at my favourite coffee shop, where I went for breakfast every day.

‘I had read every single interview he had done, I had watched every single YouTube video, everything.

“He knew everything he had to tell me to make me fall in love with him. He knew every aspect of my life and he used it in a very intelligent way.

‘For example, he knew that years ago my friends and I would bet tattoos instead of money. If you lost a bet, you had to get a tattoo chosen by the other person.

‘Well, the guy had done a lot of research on me, and it wasn’t easy information to find, so when we were first dating he told me to ignore a tattoo of his because “he got it on a bet.”

“And I was like, ‘Oh my God, oh my God, I’ve never met anyone who does that.'”He’s my soulmate. He’s like the male version of me.

“I thought it was unbelievable, but no, he had just done his research. Even my mom and dad were fooled.

“And then the cracks started to appear and the mask fell off. He started to become violent and controlling.

“I found out he was a criminal and had been convicted of multiple crimes and had been in and out of jail.”

Jodie revealed that she wished she had used Clare’s Law, a scheme created to allow people to find out from the police if their partner had a history of Domestic violence, to learn about their past.

She explained: “Clare’s Law is the most amazing thing. Now I won’t date anyone unless I’ve used Clare’s Law to prove it first.”

“Every time I end a relationship, it becomes harder for me to trust the next one. Somehow, they chip away at your trust each time and ‘It will be increasingly difficult to trust in the future.’

For now, Jodie is taking a break from dating and devoting her time to running her animal sanctuary.

She explained: ‘I’m done with men. I don’t have time for a relationship anyway, but I’ve been through some really tough times with men.

“Weirdos are attracted to me, but they pretend to be normal. They are so desperate to be with me that they do anything, they act crazy.

“And then just when you think, ‘oh, he’s amazing, he’s so nice,’ you find out he’s a nasty, gaslighting psychopath..’

Jodie’s most recent relationship came to an end in March when the model ended her relationship with the builder, three months after claiming he was her “first adult relationship after dating a string of scammers”.

Before Mark, she dated former Elvis impersonator Billy Collins, whom she split from after discovering he had been cheating on her with multiple women during their three-year romance.

Jodie ended her relationship with her ex Wayne Lennox in January 2019, having ended their three-year commitment to celibacy, which came after she split from her second husband, James Placido, in 2016.

The couple had been married for just eight months, and Jodie publicly confirmed their split in a lengthy Twitter post in which she claimed he had been making “monetary demands.”

Jodie was also briefly married to Matt Peacock in 2007 for just two months after the couple met on the reality show Totally Jodie Marsh: Who’ll Take Her Up the Aisle?

In 2008, Jodie also briefly dated hairdresser Nina and just a year after their split, she vowed to undergo five years of celibacy.

It was a promise the star managed to keep when she dated TOWIE’s Kirk Norcross in 2012 for just two weeks, as he later alleged she refused to sleep with him in an interview with Reveal magazine.

Jodie got engaged to DJ David Doyle in 2006 after just 11 days of dating, but the couple split just weeks later.

Now, she’s more than happy to remain single for the time being, as she reflects: ‘I’m at the point where I think my best option for finding a man is probably through a friend, but honestly, I don’t have the time right now anyway.

‘I barely have time to eat chips or put a pizza in the oven, let alone shower and put on makeup!’

Jodie’s energy levels are certainly surprising as she explains her daily routine at Fripps Farm.

The animals, of which there are hundreds if you count the birds and reptiles in her care, require round-the-clock care.

Many of them (Jodie estimates 80 percent) would have been euthanized if Fripps had not taken them in.

It’s a huge task for Jodie and her small group of volunteers, so why doesn’t she take on more volunteers?

“You can’t trust just any random person,” Jodie explained. “The only people we accept are the ones we know, the friends of our friends.”

“I don’t want strangers coming into my house and staying here all day. They could be trolls pretending to come and volunteer because they just want to hear some gossip, or they could be fans.

“I’ve had so many weird guys in my life, including exes who turned out to be totally weird or narcissistic or psychopaths or whatever, and so I’m very, very cautious around people.”

She explained: ‘When my mother fell ill, her condition deteriorated quite quickly. It was during the COVID pandemic, so my father and I had to take care of her at home because the hospitals had kicked out all the cancer patients.

“It was horrible. I quit my job and left everything behind to take care of my mother. And that’s what made me realize that life is too short, watching my mother die in front of me.

“Why should I do another TV show or a photo shoot or whatever if that’s not what I want to do in life? That’s not what’s going to make me happy.”

“What will make me happy is having an animal sanctuary, because that’s the only thing I’ve ever really wanted. I always knew that was the ultimate goal.”
