Production of The Last Duel was halted in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But a trailer has finally been released for the all-star blockbuster, with actress Jodie Comer, 28, sharing the clip on Instagram on Tuesday, writing, “The Last Duel. I feel so proud to share this. What a dream come true. #TheLastDuel October 15 @20thcenturystudios.’
Jodie, who plays Marguerite de Carrouges in the Ridley Scott-directed epic, can be seen in character at the beginning of the promo, as a booming voice says, “There’s only one question that matters. Do you swear on your life that what you say is true?’

Adapted from Eric Jager’s book of the same name, The Last Duel follows the true story of Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon), a 14th-century French knight who begins a fight to the death with his former friend Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) after accusing him of raping his wife.
Jodie’s character Marguerite is the woman at the center of the fight in the film.
The trailer features Killing Eve star Jodie as Marguerite saying, “My dad told me my life would be blessed with happiness,” before declaring, “I got married, I was a good woman.”

Originally, Matt and Ben were supposed to play the two lead roles in the film, but they clashed with the schedule due to Ben’s movie Deep Water, so he’s now set to play King Charles VI, while Adam was cast to take over the role. from Le Gris.
