Spanish legend Joaquin joked that Erling Haaland wanted to play for Real Betis this summer but said there was no place for him in the squad.
In a video on his Instagram pageJoaquin joked: “Haaland says he wants to come to Betis and I told him there’s no room for him anymore.”
The comment draws an immediate smile from Man City’s £51million summer signing, before Joaquin continues: ‘There’s no room for him. Maybe next year.’
Haaland is then asked about his move to the Etihad, where he simply says, ‘Muy bien! (Very good)’
Haaland was initially linked with Real Madrid, not Betis, earlier this summer when he was linked with the Borussia Dortmund exit.
