Joanna Page is SLAMMED by fans after she brands BBC comedy ‘unbearable and boring’ – but the creator has the last laugh with her hilarious response

Joanna Page has received a flurry of criticism from her fans online after admitting she found BBC comedy Things You Should Have Done “unbearable”.

The Gavin and Stacey star, 47, didn’t shy away from talking about her thoughts on the six-part series on her Off The Telly podcast, admitting several times that she was “bored” while watching the show.

Joanna’s comments were quickly rebuked by fans online, who insisted she should “know better” as an artist in the industry.

However, it was sitcom creator Lucia Keskin, or Chi with a C, who had the last laugh, as she posted a hilarious reaction to Joanna’s comments on TikTok.

Speaking to Natalie Cassidy, Joanna gave her thoughts on Chi’s show, which centers on a young woman adjusting to adulthood after the death of her parents.

Joanna Page has received a lot of criticism from her fans online after admitting she found BBC comedy Things You Should Have Done “unbearable” (pictured in a clip from her podcast).

Joanna ranted: ‘Things you should have done? You know what things I should have done, not bothered to see him.

“I think she’s obviously talented. I thought the show was shit. I don’t usually think that, do I?”

“I want to say, ‘Well done, because you have your own show.’ I don’t have my own show. I haven’t written anything, so you know, damn, that’s awesome.

‘I thought it was unbearable. It’s not often that she can’t see something. I was so bored. he was so bored

‘My mother could have written it. My mother could have done it. I just thought, “Oh my God, this is just unbearable.” I am so bored. I’m really bored. I’m bored”’

Trying to offer another side to the argument, Natalie added: “You’re either going to love it or you’re going to hate it.”

In response to Joanna’s comments, Chi shared a funny reaction video that showed her eating a banana, while audio of the actress’ comments about her show played.

Lucia, who previously shared that she was a Gavin and Stacey fan, ended the clip by approaching a framed photo of the comedy’s cast.

The comedy’s creator, Lucia Keskin, or Chi with a C, had the last laugh as she posted a hilarious reaction to Joanna’s comments on TikTok.

The Gavin and Stacey star admitted on her podcast that she was “bored” several times while watching the show (Lucía is pictured in the series).

Then he stuck a sticky note on the frame with Baldy World written on it and a drawing of a broken heart.

After Lucia posted the clip, fans were quick to criticize Joanna’s comments, with one insisting she should “know better” as a member of the industry.

“The problem is not that Joanna Page doesn’t like Chi’s show, but that she has an official BBC-branded TV review podcast, where she is given free rein to say she doesn’t like something without analysis critical. What’s the point of this? Who does it help? Certainly not new talent;

‘I just watched the clip of Joanna Page fucking on the Lucia Keskin show and it was just disgusting; Not every show will be for everyone, but say it’s not for you and move on.”

‘Is this literally THAT bad for no reason?’ Strange behavior from Joanna Page.

‘What a strange situation, the BBC funding a podcast in which two BBC actors fuck other BBC shows, including those created by up-and-coming talent?’ Led by Oscar-worthy Joanna Page, of all people;

‘I’m stunned by evil Joanna Page, sorry! This whole Gavin and Stacey latest fun character thing is amazing;’

‘Really strange behavior from Joanna Page, who should know better. Tearing up a young writer’s debut work when it’s “not for me” would be enough. For what it’s worth, I think TYSHD is great. It hits close to home but calm and moving in equal measure.

After Lucia posted the clip, fans were quick to criticize Joanna’s comments, with one insisting she should “know better” as a member of the industry.

It comes after Joanna revealed she knows “absolutely nothing” about rumors of a planned Gavin and Stacey reunion.

Rumors have circulated in recent weeks that the comedy, created by James Corden and Ruth Jones, will return for another Christmas special.

He told hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas: “I don’t know anything about anything.” I have no other information. Absolutely nothing.’

The star also told the Mirror: “Everything has gone completely crazy with those rumors and it’s so sweet and charming that everyone still loves the show.” But please, I honestly don’t know.

‘I would never ask Ruth or James if they plan to continue writing. That would seem a little sad, wouldn’t it? But would he do the show again?

‘I would absolutely throw myself into it. It was a fantastic job with a fabulous cast. We laughed a lot from start to finish. My children recently watched the first Christmas special and they loved it.’
