JK Rowling has launched a furious attack on politicians who have “cozyed up” to trans groups, as the Harry Potter author insists she is “ready to die on this hill”.
The 58-year-old called for an investigation into why political parties are adopting the views of “privileged” pro-trans groups such as Stonewall and Mermaids.

Earlier this week, Rowling said that he won’t forgive Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson after criticizing celebrities who “embraced a movement that attempts to erode women’s hard-won rights.”
The billionaire author attacked stars who use their “platforms to encourage minors’ transition” following the publication of the long-awaited Cass report into gender treatment in the UK.
The strong women’s rights advocate said people who supported gender transition in children should apologize to “those traumatized by transition and vulnerable women who rely on single-sex spaces.”
Rowling has been vocal about her opposition to allowing children to change gender, while Radcliffe and Watson have been vocal about their support for the trans community.
When asked what she thought of Radcliffe and Watson, the writer wrote in “You can save your apologies for the traumatized detransitionists.” and vulnerable women who depend on spaces differentiated by sex.’ #
Discussing Dr Cass’s report, he also added: ‘Over the past four years, Hilary Cass has carried out the most robust review of the medical evidence for children in transition ever undertaken. Just a few hours after its release to the press and public, committed ideologues are doubling down on it.

Dr Cass’s report, which was commissioned almost four years ago, made a series of recommendations to reform NHS trans services to improve the care children receive.
Dr Cass, retired consultant paediatrician, talks about the publication of the Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for Children and Young People, 9 April.
It found there is a “lack of high-quality research” into the effects of giving hormones and puberty blockers to children, and recommended that NHS England set up its own research programme.
The report also calls for the creation of a separate service for those who want a “detransition”, where a gender transition is stopped or reversed, and recommended a “tracking service” for 17- to 25-year-olds to protect teenagers. falling off the edge of a cliff’ in care when they reached 17.

The review said GPs had “expressed concern about being pressured to prescribe hormones after private providers had initiated them”.
