Amid questions about his future with the Miami Heat, it has been revealed that Jimmy Butler is renting a waterfront mansion in Miami Beach for more than $70,000 a month.
Butler, a five-time All-NBA selection, sold his South Miami/Coral Gables home over the summer for $8.3 million.
Now, as reported by The real deal, Butler rents his current mansion in the Hibiscus Island neighborhood, the property of which is for sale for $30 million.
Butler’s new pad features a private dock, basketball court, tennis court and children’s playground.
The mansion also features views of the Miami skyline, a swimming pool with an outdoor terrace and an entertainment area.
The house is for sale with Julian Johnston of The Corcoran Group, who also represented Butler in his leasing.

Johnston declined to comment on the deal.
Butler has earned more than $312 million in his career, according to Spotrac, and signed a three-year deal worth $146.4 million with the Heat in 2021.
However, there are suggestions that the player, 35, could be traded to a new team soon, with the Heat sitting at a mediocre 12-10 and Butler being owed more than $50 million next season if he activates his player option.
On Wednesday, ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Butler’s agent, Bernie Lee, had indicated around the league that his client was open to trading to the Suns, Mavericks, Rockets and Warriors, citing anonymous sources.
Charania added that the Heat were listening to offers for Butler.
However, Lee heavily disputed Charania’s reporting, calling it “complete bulls***” and “fabricated.” on X.
“Okay, listen. I gave you a clearance yesterday because I was busy, but if you don’t stop putting my name on your completely made up bulls*** because you know you’re not normally worth my time to acknowledge…’ Lee said.

Lee’s denial on X was also retweeted by Heat owner Mickey Arison, while Charania stood by his reporting the next day.
Meanwhile, the Brian Lewis of the New York Post — also citing an unnamed source — reported that the Nets would be Butler’s first choice in free agency if he were to opt out of his current contract in the summer.
However, the Nets are not expected to be interested in trading for him during the season.
Now in his sixth season with the Heat, Butler has become a fan favorite in Miami.
His play-off heroics have led the team to two finals, although they have not been able to deliver the franchise its first title since 2013.
