Jimmy Barnes will once again tour with his rock band Cold Chisel for their The Big Five-0 tour.
And the musician says that money was not his motivation, but his revelation that life is short, after his heart operation and his health problem.
‘When I got sick at the end of last year – and I was as healthy as a bull when that happened – I realized that it could go from that to everything could be over in the blink of an eye, literally; that sealed it for me,” the 68-year-old tells the Daily Telegraph.
‘I wanted to make sure we did it. It’s not a meeting for the sake of it, it’s not a meeting for money, it’s not a meeting to repair old riffs or old water.’
He added: “I want to get together with these guys, and we want to get together, take advantage of those moments that were the best things in our lives.”

It comes after Jimmy spoke out about his close brush with death and his grave fears of not waking up from heart surgery earlier this year, aAfter he was struck by a life-threatening infection that attacked his heart.
At one point, as he lay in Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital, a seriously ill Jimmy told his wife Jane: “I don’t think I’m going to make it.”
‘I just had this horrible sick feeling because I had never felt so sick before. I thought I was gone,” she said. 60 minutes.
The singer was recently taken to the emergency room due to complications from bacterial pneumonia.

Jimmy then informed his followers that he would be undergoing open heart surgery after a bacterial infection spread to his heart.
Following the procedure, the Scottish-born Australian took to Instagram to let his followers know that he is healthy, happy and will likely make a full recovery.

Cold Chisel’s tour begins on October 5 at Petersons Winery in Armidale, where the band was based in 1974-1975.
They will then tour major Australian cities for seven weeks before their final show on November 17 in Adelaide, the city where the band formed.
Cold Chisel formed in Adelaide in 1973, with Ian Moss on guitar and vocals, Steve Prestwich on drums and Don Walker on piano and keyboard.
Jimmy joined the band at the end of that year, as lead vocals; he was only 17 years old at the time.
