Jimmy and Tam Wilkins of The Block have revealed that they will still receive their prize money after the sale of their $ 4.2 million property failed.

Cybersecurity expert Emese Fajk bought the winning house at the auction final in November, but didn’t pay.

During an Instagram Q&A on Monday, Jimmy and Tam revealed that the house has not yet been sold, but will receive their record-breaking prize money of $ 966,000.

“They honor our prize!” Block winners Jimmy and Tam Wilkins have revealed that they will still receive their prize money after the sale of their $ 4.2 million Palm Springs-inspired property failed.

A fan asked the couple, “Has The Block’s house been sold yet?”

“It hasn’t sold, but Channel Nine and The Block are honoring our price,” the pair said.

It comes after Julian Cress, the hit show’s executive producer and co-creator, narrated Domain that Jimmy and Tam are “in no hurry” to sell the Palm Springs-inspired property as potential buyers continue to inspect the home.

“House 5 is currently for sale off the market through McGrath brokers, who originally had the listing,” Julian said.

Potential buyers and some advocates of buyers have been persuaded by the house.

“At this stage, we are in no rush to sell the property as it continues to increase in value by the week,” he added.

The 1950s-style property first went under the hammer in November in a record sale with the house bringing in $ 4,256 million and a profit of $ 966,000.

In addition to its unique style, it features five bedrooms, a designer kitchen and a stylish outdoor entertainment area – with a pool and BBQ.

Earlier this year, New idea claimed that Scott Cam saved the day by secretly buying the $ 4.2 million house for himself after the original buyer, cybersecurity expert Emese Fajk, 28, failed to pay.

However, his manager, Chris Giannopoulos, told Daily Mail Australia that the rumors are ‘unbelievable’ and that he did not purchase the property.

Emese was the mysterious buyer who bought Jimmy and Tam’s winning property at The Block’s auction finale in November.

Mrs. Fajk presented bank transfer receipts showing that the money for the house had expired, but the large amount never reached Nine’s bank accounts and passed the settlement period and voided the original contract.

In December, Jimmy and Tam swallowed their tears when they told A Current Affair that they had been left blind by the strange turn of events.

“It’s something no one ever saw coming, no one ever expected it, but it’s something we’re dealing with right now,” Jimmy said.
