19 Kids and Counting alum Jill Duggar Dillard attended the funeral of a close friend, PassionForSavings.com founder Heather Schisler, at Cross Church in Springdale, AR, last Friday.
“I can’t believe he’s gone,” the 32-year-old Arkansas native, who has 2.5 million followers on social media, wrote via Instastory.
“The service and reception was so beautiful (in) honoring who Heather was and (had) totally Heather’s total touch.”
Heather, who Jill called ‘the sweetest’, tragically died, aged 39, on July 30 ‘after a tough battle’ with stage 4 metastatic cancer that spread to her lungs and liver.
“We have known each other for years and were in the same small group at church for several years,” Dillard wrote after her death.

“We were pregnant together last year and had our babies just a couple of weeks apart. Please join us in praying for your entire family.’
Schisler is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jonathan Schisler, and their four children: Zachary, Hailey, Madden, and Breelyn.
Last month, the Counting On alum finished recording the audio version of her second book Counting the Cost, which she co-wrote with author Craig Borlase and her husband of nine years, Derick Dillard.
Hitting stores September 12, Jill’s 288-page narrative is about how she found the courage to stop ignoring the red flags and secrets surrounding her famous family and details what really happened behind the scenes.
TLC canceled the reality show 19 Kids and Counting in 2015 after the Duggars’ eldest son, Josh, confessed to “inappropriately touching” five minors (including two of his sisters).
In 2015, Dillard confessed to The Kelly File that her parents, former Republican congressman Jim Bob Duggar and housewife Michelle Duggar, told her she was one of two sisters Josh had molested in her sleep as a teenager.
The home-schooled mother of three previously spoke about the 57-year-old patriarch’s close ties to the Christian fundamentalist group Institute for Basic Life Principles (IBLP) in Amazon’s four-episode docuseries Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.
Among its many strict teachings, the IBLP dictates that men be the heads of households and that women, in general, should not have power or involvement in much beyond child-rearing and other household chores.

On June 1, Jim Bob and Michelle released an official statement criticizing “derogatory and sensational” docuseries, saying the creators had “bad intentions to hurt the people we love.”
“We have always believed that the best opportunity to repair damaged relationships or reconcile differences is through love in a private setting,” the 38-year-old married couple wrote on the Duggar Family website.
“We love each member of our family and will continue to do everything possible to have a good relationship with each one. Through triumphs and trials, we have clung to our faith even more and discovered that through the love and grace of Jesus, we find strength, comfort and purpose.’
