The inside of the program included the first four verses of Psalm 23.

At the bottom of the page, they added the meaning of her name: Isla ‘Dedicated to God’ and Marie ‘Desired by a son and loved.’

At the post-funeral gathering at their home in Arkansas, the couple set up a table with books and toys they had planned to share with Isla, had she lived.

The couple are parents to Israel, nine, Samuel, six, and Frederick, 21 months.

The couple has relied on their faith to get them through.

They shared more Bible verses and a sweet card from devastated Jill who wrote, “I carried you every second of your life.” And I will love you every second of mine.’

A pink heart-shaped cake was placed on the refreshment table.

They offered the other mourners a farewell souvenir, a paper heart filled with flower seeds that they hoped would sprout in Isla’s memory.

Duggar and Dillard added that they were particularly excited about the prospect of bringing a new member to their family.

‘From the moment we found out we were pregnant, we couldn’t wait to meet our baby. “Isla was very loved from the beginning and her three older brothers were very excited to introduce him to her world,” she wrote.

The couple concluded by thanking their longtime fans for their continued support as they dealt with the stillbirth of their son.

“We appreciate your prayers as we continue to grieve and recover from the loss of our little Marie Island,” they wrote.

Last year, Jill candidly told how she almost died bringing her son Samuel into the world after the then-baby suffered a stroke during childbirth.

She revealed the heartbreaking story of the birth of her second child in her extraordinary memoir, titled Counting the Cost.

She explained how she was rushed into surgery for an emergency caesarean section after a uterine rupture before discovering the newborn had also suffered a brain haemorrhage.

Newborn Samuel, who was “unresponsive at birth,” was transferred to a NICU at another hospital and Jill was not able to see him for the first time until four days later.

Duggar, 32, who grew up on camera on the TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting and other versions of the show, including Counting On, has been estranged from her parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar for several years.

There was no mention of Isla’s loss on the Duggar family’s Instagram account.

In her book, Counting the Cost, Duggar explained the ‘secrets and manipulation’ that occurred behind the scenes of the show and why they left the religious organization Institute in Basic Life Principles, in which she and Dillard, 35, had been indoctrinated. . .

The couple also told their story in the documentary Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.

WHAT IS A DEAD?

A stillbirth occurs when a baby is stillborn after 24 weeks of pregnancy.

If a baby dies before 24 weeks of pregnancy, it is known as pregnancy loss.

Not all stillbirths can be prevented; However, not smoking or drinking, as well as not sleeping on your back and attending all prenatal appointments can reduce the risk.

What are the signs?

Signs may include that the baby is not moving as much as normal.

Pregnant women should contact their doctor immediately if they notice a difference in their baby’s movements.

What are the causes?

Stillbirths do not always have an obvious cause, but can occur due to complications with the placenta or a birth defect.

They are also more likely to occur if women suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes or an infection that affects the baby, such as the flu.

Stillbirths are more likely to occur if women have twins or multiple pregnancies, are overweight, smoke, are over 35 years old, or have a pre-existing condition such as epilepsy.

What happens after a stillbirth?

If a baby has died, women can wait for labor to begin naturally or be induced if their health is at risk.

Grief support groups are available for parents who have experienced a stillbirth.

Some find it helpful to name their baby or take pictures with them.
