The jeweler behind Princess Beatrice's engagement ring has shared details about how the piece was made.
Shaun Leane, 50, based in London, told Hello! that property-mogul Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 34, came to him four months ago to start the process of designing the perfect ring for his royal girlfriend, 31.
He explained that the ring, which contains two 0.75 carat baguettes on either side of a central 2.5 carat diamond, was designed to accommodate their two distinctive flavors.

The ring is hand crafted in the Shaun Leane Mayfair workshop and is set with outstanding cut diamonds of the highest color and clarity, all of which are GIA certified and ethically produced.
Edo and Beatrice announced their engagement last Thursday after dating for about a year.
