Singer Jewel has opened up about achieving contentment as she once again addresses her romantic relationship with Kevin Costner.
Talking with PeopleJewel, 49, denied that a romantic relationship was behind her current state of happiness.
‘I found love, and I’m not talking about Kevin. I’m so happy, irrelevant as a man. It has nothing to do with being in a relationship or not being in a relationship,” he told the outlet.
“I’m just happy,” he insisted, adding, “I’m fine.”
In the lengthy profile, Jewel spoke about overcoming a difficult upbringing and later life struggles, but now the Hands singer is enjoying a sense of peace.

She recounted her brief romance with actor Sean Penn and her attempt to keep it private.
‘Even when I dated Sean from the beginning, no one knew I was dating him. I wouldn’t do a red carpet with him. She was very proud,” she recalled.
‘I wasn’t famous and my album was failing, like it was failing spectacularly. I remember going to the Venice Film Festival with him and he could have been on the red carpet and gotten a lot of media attention.’

Insisting that she had to change and grow in order to be the most available mom, those were things she experienced privately, and this was a way of honoring myself as well.
‘I’m much more present now. I am a current mom, which I worked hard at. At first it was not easy to be present. Divorces… you have a lot of pain and it’s difficult. Not wanting to give up that dream kept me in the marriage much longer than it probably should have.’
Now he has curated a 90-minute immersive art exhibition that will open publicly on Saturday until July 28.

“It’s about being curious about ourselves and discovering,” he said. “It’s about being aware of our three areas and committing that we can change them and contribute to them.”
