Jetstar’s website briefly crashed as Australians desperately tried to score a $29 flight as part of the airline’s latest travel deal.
The budget airline abandoned the sell-off by discounting 29,000 flights for just $29 each.
The sale began at 9am Friday (AEST) and includes 82 one-way domestic flights for budget travelers.
The flash sale caused countless tourists to flood Jetstar’s website, leaving many stuck on the loading page or receiving a message saying: “We are very busy at the moment and something has gone wrong, we are sorry.”

Customers had trouble getting flights for about an hour Friday morning, but were eventually able to get in touch to purchase their tickets.
It is understood that the website is now operating normally.
The five-day offer includes flight fares from Melbourne. to the Whitsundays, along with Sydney to Hobart from just $29.
The $29 price is a reference to Jetstar’s launch price of $29 per seat when it first launched in 2004.
The lowest fare tickets ‘will be limited’ but will also include brisbane to Newcastle, Adelaide to Brisbane, Perth toward Golden Coastand Sydney to Ballina/Byron Bay.
Checked luggage is not included in the rates.
The sale will end when all tickets have been sold or in 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday.
