Jetstar launches massive sales with flights starting at just $29

Jetstar has announced a second major sale to celebrate its 20th birthday.

Thousands of flights between major Australian cities and holiday destinations will soon go on sale to celebrate Jetstar’s 20th birthday.

The budget airline has held its second massive sale in a few days as part of the celebrations by discounting 29,000 flights to just $29 each.

The offer, which starts at 9am (AEST) on Friday, includes 82 one-way domestic flights for travelers on a budget.

Flights from Melbourne (Tullamarine) until Pentecost and Sydney to Hobart, will be available at maximum discount during the sale, which ends May 7.

The $29 price is a reference to Jetstar’s launch price of $29 per seat when it first launched in 2004.

The lowest fare tickets ‘will be limited’ but will also include brisbane to Newcastle, Adelaide to Brisbane, Perth toward Golden Coastand Sydney to Ballina.

“The best rates are expected to sell out quickly,” a spokesperson said.

The sale will end when all tickets have been sold or in 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7.

There will also be other less discounted Jetstar fares on sale during this time.

The latest wave of cheap fares follows the low-cost airline’s first 48-hour sale, which ended on Thursday night.

Jetstar offered more than 200,000 ‘free round trip’ fares between 64 domestic and 33 international destinations.
