Jets fans buried kicker Greg Zuerlein on social media after missing two crucial field goal opportunities against the Bills on Monday night.

In a closely contested matchup at MetLife, Zuerlein had not one, but two opportunities to break a 20-20 deadlock.

Late in the third quarter, the kicker hit the upright on a 32-yard attempt. He had another chance from 43 yards out early in the fourth, but hit the woodwork again, leaving fans fuming as the Bills cruised to a 23-20 victory.

“I will NEVER forgive Greg Zuerlein for tonight’s performance,” one fan wrote.

“We’d be 4-2 if Greg Zuerlein was a better kicker,” a second added.

“The first game under a new regime wasn’t terrible, you can’t train or take away those penalties man, it’s so sloppy.” a third lamented.

“The NYJ needs to clean it up and tell Zuerlein to tighten things up, that’s TWO GAMES that could have been decided by their boot man.”

A fourth added that “Greg Zuerlein should be eliminated tonight,” while a fifth added: “What’s up with Greg Zuerlein being a complete slacker?”

Zuerlein hit two of his four kicks for eight points before retiring when his boot mattered most. The stat line has taken him to 6-8 this season.

In a 10-9 loss to the Broncos in September, Zuerlein was burned for missing a 50-yarder in a 3-for-4 performance.

Their third straight loss has dropped the Jets to 2-4 this season. Before Monday, they suffered back-to-back losses to Denver in Minnesota.

The Jets opened their season with a loss to San Francisco, before a pair of wins over Tennessee and New England. They will look to get back into the winning column when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers and rematch the Patriots on the road on October 20 and 27, respectively.

They will close the month on the 31st when they host the Texans at MetLife Stadium.
