JetBlue has unveiled the impressive cabin interior for its new Airbus A321neo aircraft, which comes with a host of new features.
The cabin, designed by the critically acclaimed London headquarters Acumen Design Associates, debuted on a flight on Tuesday from New York JFK to Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
The cabin features a & # 39; backpack & # 39; storage system for each seat, free on-board WiFi, brand-new 10-inch entertainment screens, an & # 39; welcoming, bold entrance & # 39; with a privacy partition – and a redesigned self-service snack and beverage station renamed The Pantry.

Acumen said: & # 39; This self-service on-board has a more residential design approach to the cabin interior, combining the airline's distinctive blue colors with natural wood finishes and soft downlights – creating an attractive space for customers to socialize and refresh with free food and drinks, just like they would at home.
& # 39; Clients are subtly guided to this zone by creative mood lighting, which creates a blue hoop in the center of the cabin and flows along the denim-style carpet of the main cabin. & # 39;
The cabin is also equipped with the Collins Aerospace Meridian seat (mounted on other JetBlue aircraft), which offers an improved seat width of 18 inches. Both JetBlue's Core and Even More Space seats feature custom-made E-leather upholstery, designed by Acumen and manufactured by fabric specialists Sabeti Wain Aerospace.

JetBlue has ordered 85 A321neos. They will eventually serve two new international routes for JetBlue – New York JFK to Guayaquil, Ecuador and New York JFK to Georgetown, Guyana
The upholstery of the Core dress is embellished with the distinctive blue branding of the airline, while the Even More Space seats feature a bold orange halo, which emphasizes the increase in seat spacing (at least 35 inches).
The seats also come with adjustable, padded headrests as standard, "ensuring that all customers have the required head and neck support to enjoy the flight experience".
The new & # 39; backpack & # 39; storage system, which is available everywhere in the cabin, & # 39; improves functionality & # 39 ;.
Acumen said: “With more pockets and a woven elastic grid that can be configured to meet individual needs, the design has improved the functionality of a part of the chair that is often ignored. Customers can now securely store, organize and charge multiple personal items, such as telephones, tablets, headphones and passports, and easily access them when needed. & # 39;
The galley area has meanwhile become & # 39; industrialized & # 39 ;.
The & # 39; daring JetBlue identity & # 39; is integrated in & # 39; a strong architectural signature at the door & # 39; and adapted front partition.
Acumen said: & # 39; In addition to the privacy benefits, the room divider also offers fold-down tables and new crew iPad storage options, as well as a subtle window to facilitate a direct view of the cabin for the crew in the corresponding seats. & # 39 ;
The toilets have also been refurbished and redesigned to reflect the modern urban feel of the aircraft & # 39 ;.

Daniel Clucas, senior designer at Acumen Design Associates, commented: & # 39; JetBlue has a long reputation in the aviation industry as an airline that puts the customer at the center of everything he does. We were able to give customers more choice in how they use their larger space. We have incorporated the JetBlue brand image into every part of the cabin and the new design significantly improves the narrow-hull flying experience and offers JetBlue customers an incredible leap forward, unrivaled by its American rivals. & # 39;
Andrew Litavis, product development manager at JetBlue, said: “It's not every day that two innovative powerhouses from the industry come together to create something new, but that's exactly what happened here. Built with our crew members and customers in mind, the new A321 cabin is different from all other single-aisle planes flying today – and will redefine expectations for fuel-efficient travelers. & # 39;
