Her emotional statement online read: ‘For all of my Mixers, the last nine years at Little Mix have been the most incredible time of my life.
‘We’ve accomplished things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold-out shows at the O2.
Making friends and fans all over the world. I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the happiest girl in the world.
‘You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never forget it.
The truth is, being in the band recently has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure to be in a girl group and live up to expectations very difficult.

‘There comes a point in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves instead of focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to start that process.
“So after much thought and with a heavy heart, I announce that I am leaving Little Mix.”
The Essex native expressed her gratitude to her supporters and fellow members, adding, ‘I need to spend some time with the people I love, do things that make me happy.
‘I’m ready to start a new chapter in my life – I’m not sure what it will look like now, but I hope you’re still there to support.
‘I want to thank everyone who was involved in our trip. All the hard work and dedication it takes to make us a success.
To every fan who came to see us at a concert, who listened to our songs and sang with heart and soul, messaged me and supported me, I want you to know that I love you so much and I could never have done it this without you and I appreciate it endlessly.
I especially want to thank Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne for creating some of the most amazing memories that I will never forget. I hope you keep fulfilling all your dreams and keep making music that people love. I like Jesy x. ‘
