Jessie Wallace has landed in trouble with BBC bosses for using her Kat Slater quotes to promote a beauty brand.
The broadcasting giant received complaints from viewers who were confused to see her promoting a commercial product using some of Kat Slater’s most famous lines in EastEnders.
The London-based company posted videos on its Instagram page of Jessie promoting her services while using catchphrases and memorable lines from the show.
The posts have since been removed from the beauty company’s social media platform.
BBC bosses have warned Jessie that this contradicts what she agreed in her contract.

But using the show’s livelihood to promote a brand using character quotes has also upset many managers.
The intellectual property of the program and the ownership of its image and slogans are strongly protected and, being a publicly funded broadcaster, there are rules to ensure it is not commercialized.
A source told MailOnline: ‘Jessie doesn’t like being told what to do and has had posts removed.
“The general feeling is that she should know better after being on the show for so long.”
The rape is the latest in a series of controversies to blight the show and its cast, and comes just months after Wallace was photographed socializing with convicted murderer Kenneth Noye.
