Jessie James Decker’s husband, Eric Decker, took to his Instagram home page on Monday to reveal that he underwent a vasectomy and “survived” the procedure.
The country pop singer, 35, and the former NFL player, 37, welcomed their fourth child, a boy named Denver, last month in February.
The couple, who married in 2013, also share Vivianne, 10, Eric ‘Bubby’ Jr., eight, and Forrest, five.
Eric shared a variety of photos with his fans and followers, including a snapshot that was taken while he was resting on a bed inside a hospital room.
The sports star also gave a glimpse into his recovery process and was seen sitting outside on a patio while sporting a T-shirt that had “Vasectomy Survivor, I’m Not Joking” on the front.

In the caption of the Instagram carousel, the father of four simply wrote to his million followers: “I survived.”

In early January last year, the I Still Love You singer said Us weekly that Eric ‘refuses’ to have a vasectomy. “I feel like from now on he’s probably a no,” he said at the time.
The star explained that she “refuses to make it permanent” in terms of scheduling an appointment to undergo the procedure. “She says that takes away her manhood. So I guess she’ll leave it at that.
And then in August of last year, Jessie announced she was expecting her fourth child and was preparing to add another addition to her growing family.

A month after the announcement, the artist revealed that having a fifth child “wasn’t even a question.”
While speaking to Us Weekly, she said, ‘Don’t start asking me about the five! Because no way! No, not even a question!’
She continued, “No, we’re fine with four,” and joked that she and her family would “have to move.”
Despite admitting she was done after baby number four, Jessie gushed: “I don’t even have this baby in my arms yet, but I’ve always been very motherly and… I love being a mother.”
The singer later added, “I think the exciting thing is that we weren’t planning on having another baby, so I feel like I had emotionally closed the chapter on the things you love about having a newborn.”
‘So I’m excited to be able to do those things again. I love newborn smells. All the smells are so delicious. I love breastfeeding.’
