A group of people know what happened to a 27-year-old woman who mysteriously disappeared five years ago, police say.

Jessica Boyce, from the small town of Renwick in Marlborough, four hours south of Wellington in New Zealand, was last seen on March 19, 2019.

Ms Boyce had visited friends in Renwick earlier in the afternoon and her sister had seen her leave the family home in her mother’s red Holden.

The vehicle was found in a parking lot in Lake Chalice, about 50 km south of Renwick.

Police opened a homicide investigation in October 2020, but were unable to resolve his suspicious disappearance.

Now detectives are closing in on a group of nine people they suspect may know what happened to Ms Boyce and are offering a $100,000 reward for information.

Jessica Boyce from the small town of Renwick in Marlborough, four hours south of Wellington, New Zealand, was last seen on March 19, 2019.

The agents are convinced that these individuals hold important information or have been involved, in different ways, in this mysterious affair.

“They know something. Individually they may not know everything, but they all know a little bit of something,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Ciaran Sloan, head of the investigation known as Operation Largo. Herald of New Zealand.

“We spoke to each of them. Some of them were cooperative, others just lied.

“Some of the people involved probably only know parts of it, what they did before she disappeared, and not what happened afterward.”

Police have already established that Ms Boyce was likely to have been targeted because she sold drugs, including methamphetamine, and was also a user.

Ms Boyce was last seen leaving the family home in her mother’s red Holden Rodeo (pictured) on the day she disappeared.

Police have spent the past five years gathering a mountain of information, but officers have become bogged down in a multitude of incorrect details about the incident.

“The people involved are the ones we want to hear from and we want the facts,” Sergeant Sloan said.

He said although police are still searching for the suspect, detectives are close to finally solving the cold case and have not given up hope that the case will be solved.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted New Zealand Police for further comment.

Police said they were set to launch an investigation to find out what happened to Ms Boyce (pictured right).
