Jesse Lingard has named Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba as the most talented youngsters he played with at the Manchester United academy.
The trio were all part of the United side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2011 and were tipped for success.
While Lingard and Pogba have played prominent roles at United and internationally, Morrison has had a rather nomadic career.
Jesse Lingard named Ravel Morrison as one of the most promising youngsters he played with
Morrison made three senior appearances for United before signing for West Ham in 2012
As reported by Tribal footballLingard said, “I would probably say Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba.
“Ravel was very technically gifted and had natural shooting and dribbling skills. He had everything in his locker.
“And with Paul I’ve known him since he was sixteen and he was big at that age and he matures every year and you can see what kind of player he turned out to be.
“He’s won many trophies and a World Cup.”
Morrison joined Sheffield United last summer, but was then loaned to Middlesbrough
Morrison played only three games for United, before making a transfer to West Ham, for whom he scored a memorable goal against Tottenham in 2013.
However, since then he has fought for consistency and has had stints at Lazio and Ostersunds, as well as several loan periods elsewhere.
Morrison loaned the second half of this season to Middlesbrough from Sheffield United, but played only three times in the championship.
A former English Under-21 international, Morrison has yet to be covered by the senior level Three Lions because he has been unable to use his enormous potential.
