Jesse Baird’s roommates ditch the Paddington home where Channel Ten TV presenter and his boyfriend Luke Davies’ bodies were found

Jesse Baird’s roommates leave Sydney rental where he and his boyfriend were allegedly murdered by an ex-cop and left overnight under a tarp in the property’s courtyard.

Beau Lamarre-Condon allegedly used his police-issued Glock pistol to shoot former Channel Ten presenter and her new boyfriend Luke Davies three times on Paddington Terrace on February 19.

Mr Baird’s roommates arrived home later that evening to find the place a mess and went to bed unaware that the couple had died in the yard.

They rented the three-bedroom terrace in April last year for $1,200 a week, but it appears they ended the lease early following the tragedy.

Furniture and household items – including outdoor sofas, towels and armchairs – were dumped on the sidewalk outside the house on Wednesday.

Among the items were a disco ball, a pink heart painted on cardboard and a yellow football placed just inside the gate of the property with a handwritten poem for the deceased couple.

It read: “Jesse and Luke, gone in an instant, forever out of reach. Memories linger as hearts slowly break. Tears fall like rain as grief sets in, the pain of loss is a story often told.

Among the furniture were Ikea-style shelves and cupboards, outdoor cushions, two brown swivel chairs and a box containing a washcloth and towels.

As of Thursday morning, the property did not appear to be back on the market. If it is listed again, the real estate agent will need to inform potential tenants or buyers that it is a suspected murder scene.

Detectives say the killings were a premeditated attack following a months-long campaign of “predatory behavior” towards Mr Baird, with whom Lamarre-Condon had a brief “friends with benefits” relationship.

Police say Mr Davies, a Qantas flight attendant, was allegedly murdered because he was at the Paddington property when Lamarre-Condon – who was then a senior constable – showed up.

About 12 hours later, he allegedly collected the bodies in a white rental van and took them to a remote farm in Bungonia, about 180km south of Sydney.

He reportedly returned to the scene to move the bodies to another location in Bungonia, about a 20-minute drive from the original location.

Extensive searches were carried out to find the couple, but Lamarre-Condon would not tell police where their bodies were.

He then spoke with a lawyer on February 27, more than a week after the alleged murders.

The remains of Mr Baird and Mr Davies were found in surf bags that afternoon.

In the days following the tragedy, friends and passers-by left bouquets of flowers in front of the Paddington terrace.

Sunflowers, roses, dahlias, chrysanthemums and tulips were placed along the iron gates of the property.

Lamarre-Condon has been charged with two counts of murder and is currently at the Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydney’s west.

He will appear in court at Sydney’s Downing Center on April 23.
