Written in Los Angeles and produced with Adele hitmaker Greg Kurstin, Enough is an upbeat song that details Jess’s relationship with self-esteem and acceptance.
Speaking about the single, Jess said: ‘Enough is the first song I knew was 100% on the album. I wrote it in 2020 when I was going through a lot in my life.
“Everyone had gone through the same thing that year and I felt very affected by a feeling of insecurity and lack of self-esteem. I was going through a lot of personal and professional changes and my confidence had dropped a lot.
“As soon as we started writing, people in the room reminded me at that moment that I am good enough and that I am very proud of how far I have come.
‘I’ve paid my dues, I’ve grafted and I’m not going to let anyone make me feel like I’m not good enough ever again. I hope that others can feel hope and gain the same strength as me: we are all enough and there is no going back to feeling otherwise.
“That’s when I knew deep down, because of the way this song made me feel, that this had to be the first single from my new album.”
