Jerry Jones faces new sexual assault lawsuit over allegations he ‘kissed a woman on the mouth and forcibly grabbed her without consent’ — after Texas court reversed 2021 firing
A sexual assault lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones that was dismissed in 2020 has been revived by a Texas appeals court.
According to Dallas morning newsthe case will now be resumed and possibly brought to court.
The alleged incident took place on Sept. 16, 2018, at AT&T Stadium — the home of the Dallas Cowboys and the day they hosted the New York Giants in the NFL.
It is alleged that Jones, who is 80 years old, “kissed a woman on the mouth and grabbed her violently without her consent.”
Jones denied the allegations at the time, saying they were “malicious and hurtful.” There is no response yet from him on reviving the case.

Jones has been married to his wife Eugenia since 1963 (pictured together in 2022).
In the lawsuit, the woman says the incident caused her “severe emotional distress,” “psychological pain and suffering,” and medical expenses.
She claims the incident took place in the Tom Landry Room at the stadium.
The lawsuit was dismissed because the judge said at the time that the prosecution failed to comply with a special exemption order. Now it has been revived as the appeals court said she “tried in good faith to modify her pleadings in response to the court’s special exemption order.”
The woman is assisted by her attorney Thomas Daniel Bowers, who told the Dallas Morning News on Tuesday: “We always knew we were going to win because the law was on our side.
“A victim finally gets her day in court and that’s very important.”
Jones has owned the Dallas Cowboys since 1989. He bought the franchise for $150 million and is worth an estimated $13.6 billion.
Under his leadership, they won the Super Bowl three times – in 1993, 1994 and 1996.
Jones is also currently in another legal battle, with a judge ordering him to take a paternity test to find out if he is the biological father of a 26-year-old woman.

A Texas judge in December ordered genetic testing in a paternity suit brought by Alexandra Davis, who previously claimed in a separate lawsuit that she was conceived from a relationship Jones had with her mother in the mid-1990s .
Last March, Davis sued Jones in Dallas County, asking a judge to overturn a legal agreement her mother, Cynthia Davis, said she made with Jones two years after she was born.
The 1998 settlement allegedly said that Jones would support them financially as long as they did not publicly say he was Alexandra’s father – something the Cowboys’ married owner denied.
