Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that Grand Wil producer Andy Wilman suffered from coronavirus twice after spending two weeks in bed, delaying the filming of the show.
Former Top Gear producer, 57, and a lifelong friend of Jeremy Clarkson said he suffered “ the worst … ever ” when he had the disease.
He revealed that the coronavirus pandemic slowed the progress of the show’s Madagascar special and derailed plans to film in Russia in March.
Mr. Wilman said the virus kept him in bed for ten days and that he couldn’t edit the show’s special, which was filmed six months ago.

The show is remotely edited, and he said they will deliver the finished cut to Amazon for the next two weeks.

Clarkson said that Wilman “could barely breathe” in a YouTube quiz he organized in April.
He said, “He coughed out his spleen several times, he was very, very, very poor.”
