Fans were eagerly awaiting new episodes of the Amazon Prime series, with only two special episodes released in the past two years.

The show is currently filming a series of themed episodes, the latest of which, ‘A Massive Hunt’, was released in December 2020.

The special saw the trio head to the islands of Madagascar and Réunion in search of pirate gold.

Jeremy had previously confirmed that the show would re-tap in April after UK lockdown restrictions were relaxed.

It comes after James recently claimed he got ‘well-muscled’ in lockdown after going for a bike ride in his area every day.

While pondering how he didn’t see Jeremy or Richard during the global pandemic, James also joked that not being with the couple made him “ healthier. ”

Speak against The sunJames said of Jeremy and Richard: ‘I wouldn’t say I missed them particularly. I’ve seen so many of those two idiots in the past 15 years of my life. I have no desire for it in any way.

‘I am definitely healthier, no doubt about that. I am a little slimmer, I am stronger. I still fall into pieces, but I fall into pieces in a somewhat tight way. ‘

James went on to explain that he cycles between three and ten miles a day, and claimed he would follow government guidelines by exercising only once a day.

About his new fitness regimen, he said, “I’m well-muscled now, but probably can’t drive anymore.”

James rose to fame as the co-host of the iconic Top Gear show, in which he co-starred with Jeremy and Richard from 2003-2015.
