‘Danger!’ fans were furious after contestants on Tuesday’s episode failed to answer a “simple” question about the Lord’s Prayer during the game.
Players Joe, Laura and Suresh were unable to give the correct answer to host Mayim Bialik’s question regarding the commonly recited prayer.
‘Matthew 6:9 says, “Our Father, who art in heaven, [THIS] be your name,” Bialik said, asking the group to fill in the blank with the correct word.
Amazingly, the band made a mistake of biblical proportions by not even trying to guess the correct answer as the scene went silent until Bialik gave the answer.
So, do you know the missing word? Scroll to see if you’re smarter than three Jeopardy contestants.
If you had guessed “sanctified”, you would have been correct and you would have won $200.
Immediately after Biyalik gave the group the answer, fans on Twitter began to build up their anger and shock at the contestants’ inability to answer the question.
‘Today 3 Jeopardy contestants didn’t know the first line of ‘The Lord’s Prayer!’ Sad. Our Father, who art in heaven, ________ be your name; They did not know the answer: “Sanctified”. Pathetic,” one person wrote.
“It’s ‘sanctified’, you heathens!” #Jeopardy,” added another.

‘Hey, geniuses of Jeopardy… It’s sanctified. Sheesh, what a sad world we live in,’ one Twitter user shared.
Phew. Watching @Jeopardy tonight, and none of the contestants knew the words ‘hallowed be your name’ in the Lord’s Prayer,” one user lamented.
“You must be kidding me no one knew ‘hallowed’ on #Jeopardy lol,” another shared.
‘Shout hallowed! They did not know the “Our Father”. #Jeopardy,’ one wrote.
Another user, however, suggested that perhaps the band didn’t know if they were “hallowed” or “hollow”, and therefore didn’t want to ring.
“No one understood it, but I’m sure they all did, but they were worried about the PRONUNCIATION,” one savvy Twitter user suggested.
While versions of the Lord’s Prayer have been modified by some denominations, the “sanctified” part has remained the same.

Another user, however, suggested that perhaps the band didn’t know if they were “hallowed” or “hollowed out,” and therefore didn’t want to chime in.
Worse still, the Final Jeopardy Clue was subsequently dragged out because it was “too easy”.
The question, “He starred in the 2 films whose soundtracks were the 2 best-selling soundtracks of 1978”, was only answered correctly by two of the three players.
The answer was John Travolta and the soundtracks referenced were “Grease” and “Saturday Night Fever”.
“The final danger was a soft ball and one of them got it wrong again. Sweet baby Jesus,’ an angry Twitter user wrote.
