Jennifer Lopez ‘fed off’ Ben Affleck’s energy, a body language expert claims.
Everyone was shocked when the singer, 55, released The Greatest Love Story Never Told on Prime Video in February — the conclusion of a three-part, $20 million self-funded visual project documenting her love for Ben.
Jennifer admitted that many around her called her “stupid” when she announced the project and admitted that while she “didn’t need” to create the three-part tribute, she “wanted” to.
However, it’s a project that hasn’t stood the test of time, as the couple split just two months later, according to divorce papers filed by Jennifer this month.
And it seems the couple already had their cards on the table, as body language expert Judi James told MailOnline at the time that the documentary showed how Jennifer positioned herself to ‘squeeze the maximum drama out of her ‘truth’, while Ben was so ‘uncomfortable’ in front of the camera that he looked ‘childish’.
Jennifer Lopez ‘fed’ off Ben Affleck’s energy in The Greatest Love Story Never Told, a documentary that follows their love story, according to a body language expert
Body language expert Judi James told MailOnline at the time that the documentary showed how Jennifer positioned herself to “squeeze the maximum drama out of her ‘truth'”.
It was announced that The Greatest Love Story Never Told would take viewers behind the scenes with Jennifer as she independently produced a new album and film exploring her 20-year journey toward self-love.
However, Judi revealed that she could sense the underlying motive behind the show, sharing: ‘This documentary seems to want to clear up any misguided illusions that being incredibly rich, talented, beautiful and successful as well as married to the love of your life could be something like the walk in the park that it seems to us outsiders.
‘J-Lo’s words and body language squeeze the most drama out of her “truth,” with the over-the-top soundtrack draining every last emotional drop.’
On the singer’s on-screen vulnerability, Judi continued: ‘With her face uncovered in front of the camera, J. Lo is shown crying, looking scared and even eating and crying at the same time.
‘She tells us that Ben is uncomfortable being her ‘muse,’ which seems to put him in the same marital category as Bianca Censori, just without the sheer outfits.
Fans have expressed concern that Bianca is being manipulated by her rapper husband Kanye after a series of outings featuring outrageous outfits and out-of-character behaviour.
Judi continued: “Ben’s own words don’t quite match those of his wife.
‘It’s been obvious from his body language during their first romance and again now during their constant public displays of affection both on the red carpet and on the streets, that Ben is not a big fan of being under constant press surveillance.
‘During the face-to-face with the camera, his body language seems awkward, almost childlike. He squints his eyes, tilts his head and clasps his hands near his head in a ritual that resembles shyness.
‘Her revealing word seems to be ‘private,’ while J. Lo seems to be using this documentary to spill her inner thoughts and emotions on camera.’

Judi mused, ‘Ben’s word ‘tellable’ seems to be ‘private,’ while J. Lo seems to be using this documentary to spill her inner thoughts and emotions on camera.’
Despite their conflicting views on privacy, Judi noted that the couple depended on each other for their “emotional survival.”
She reflected: ‘Ben shows himself in the role of supporter, coach and even mentor.
‘While she leans on his ribs as if feeding off his energy, confidence and self-assurance, he stands tall with his chest puffed out in an alpha-protective gesture and kisses her on the head.
‘Their love story is shown as sweet but also necessary for emotional survival.
“J. Lo seems to need that support and those kisses too. Describing herself as “terrified,” “stressed,” “broken,” and even “older,” we are shown glimpses of her in those various states to suggest what Ben is dealing with and who he is helping.”
Throughout the show, Ben made it clear that he doesn’t like his love life to be the center of attention, calling his private moments “sacred” and rolling his eyes when he recalled Jennifer sharing all of his old love notes with her friends and colleagues.
Revealing why he had agreed to take part in the documentary, Ben shared: “Jen was really inspired by this experience, which is how artists do this work. I know that as an artist and director, I definitely do the same thing.
“But things that are private, I always felt like they were sacred and special because they’re partly private… So this was kind of an adjustment for me.”
Jennifer shelled out a staggering £16 million ($20 million) to fund This Is Me…Now: A Love Story, a semi-autobiographical “sci-fi action musical romantic comedy” documenting her love.
Jennifer filed for divorce without a lawyer on Tuesday, August 20, which also marked the couple’s second wedding anniversary.
In the petition, she indicated that the separation date would be April 26, 2024.
The couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in July 2022, sources close to the couple revealed. This is Jennifer’s fourth failed marriage and Ben’s second.
Without a prenuptial agreement, their individual earnings from the past two years, whether from film projects or deals with major brands, would be community property.
Jennifer, who has a net worth of $400 million, has released four films since marrying Ben, including her self-financed $20 million project This Is Me… Now: A Love Story, which documents the couple’s rekindled romance.
She launched her Delola cocktail line in 2023 and was set to embark on a world tour in support of her latest album ‘This Is Me… Now’, but it was cancelled weeks before the start so she could ‘focus’ on family.
Ben, an Oscar winner with an estimated net worth of $150 million, has recently starred in the films Air (2023) and Hypnotic (2023). He has also recently completed production on a sequel to The Accountant (2016).
To further complicate matters, Jennifer and Ben were working on the upcoming film, Unstoppable.
Ben produced the project alongside Matt Damon, while Jennifer is among the film’s stars.
Jennifer is not seeking spousal support and has asked the judge to deny it to Ben as well.
