Jennifer Lopez helped Ben Affleck focus more on his kids, according to a new report from People has alleged.
The site claimed that the Atlas actress motivated the Argo director to be more “family-oriented.”
During their two years of marriage, which Ben hinted at months ago, children were “very important to them,” the source added.
Lopez shares twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
But the way they spent time with the children was said to divide them.
While JLo was happy to take the little ones shopping and to fun events, Affleck preferred to hang out at home.

During their two-year marriage, children were “very important to them,” the source added. Lopez has twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 (pictured in March).
“They are very different people,” the source added of Affleck and Lopez. “She is very public and wants to go out, and he is more introverted and happy to stay at home.”
In fact, Jennifer was often seen traveling with the kids as she has a busy schedule.
And she probably wanted to take her five children with her on her summer tour, which has been postponed until 2025.
Ben may not want to go out as much because he is not as sociable as Lopez.
In an interview with Kevin Hart earlier this year, Ben said he was “shy”: “I’m a little bit shy too. I don’t like to draw too much attention to myself,” he told the comedian.
“That’s why people see me and wonder, ‘Why is this guy always angry? ‘ Because someone put the camera in my face and I was like, ‘Okay, here we go.'”
“You have a resting bitch face,” Hart joked.
“Bitch? Now!” Affleck responded while pretending to be angry.
“I have a hard expression on my face. People project onto me something that I don’t feel at all in myself.”

Also in the interview with Hart, Ben went into great detail about how Lopez has crazy fame while he has sort of fame.
The Air star said fans went wild when they spotted the 55-year-old Bronx-born beauty with him in Times Square.
It turns out it was his idea to walk through one of the busiest neighborhoods with a superstar on his arm.
“We went somewhere with (Jennifer) — I can’t remember because she’s so famous and she creates this — people love her and she really represents something important to people,” Affleck said.
“People are like, ‘Hey, I like your movie,’ and then they’re like, ‘AAAHHHH! J-LO!’ she yelled. “It’s unbelievable, you know what I mean?”
Then he got more specific.
“I think it was when we passed through Times Square,” he continued.
In an interview with Kevin Hart earlier this year, Ben said he was “shy”: “I’m kind of shy myself. I don’t like a lot of attention on me,” he told the comedian. “That’s why people see me and they’re like, ‘Why is this guy always mad? ‘ Because someone had their camera right in my face and I was like, ‘Well, here we go.'”
‘We got out of the car, we were going to see a play, and I said, ‘Fuck it, babe, we’re going to be late, we have to walk a block and a half.’ (Lopez) said, ‘Okay,’ she didn’t say shit.
They were with all of their children: he has Violet, Seraphina and Samuel with Jennifer Garner and Lopez has Max and Emme with Marc Anthony.
“We walked with her, all the kids, through Times Square, and it was just crazy,” Affleck said.
“I thought, ‘Oh my God.’ There was a woman smoking marijuana, in a tight purple suit, she’s a heavy woman, and she started running backwards while I was filming, saying, ‘LO!’
He added: “It’s like a herald that attracts everyone else and then all the tourists come.”
Affleck said the chaos was a lot to take in.

‘Then we have our five kids, it’s Jen and I and it sounds like hundreds of people, and everyone’s screaming.’
Meanwhile, Lopez reportedly feels “disappointed and sad” after filing for divorce from Affleck, but knew it was “time to move on.”
The superstar was engaged to Hollywood actor Ben, 52, in the early 2000s and the pair reconciled in 2021 before tying the knot in two ceremonies in 2022, but the relationship has now ended once again with Jennifer filing for divorce on Tuesday to end the union.
Now, a new report suggests Jennifer felt it was the right time to move on with her life. A source told PEOPLE, “[She knows]it’s time to move on” for a number of reasons.
“She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any indication that he wants to continue their marriage. He hasn’t shown any commitment or interest in making their marriage work. It’s gotten to the point where she just needs to look after herself.”

The divorce filing came exactly two years after the couple’s extravagant second wedding in Georgia on August 20, 2022, and a source told the publication that the significance of the date was not lost on Jennifer.
They said: ‘She had already had enough of waiting and the date she did it says a lot… (The divorce filing) gives her control of the process… It’s good that she did it…’
“She worked so hard to make things work and is heartbroken.”
The source went on to insist that the former couple’s blended family takes priority, adding: “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.”
The singer and actress wrote an entire album, ‘This Is Me… Now’, inspired by the rekindled love between the couple and even made a film version of it. She even gushed about the relationship a few months before the official date of their separation, listed as April 26, 2024.
She told Metro newspaper: “I wrote This Is Me… Then when Ben and I fell in love 20-something years ago. As fate would have it, we went back to our old lives. And on the 20th anniversary of This Is Me… Then, I announced I was doing This Is Me… Now.”
“I was inspired by the surreal miracle that had happened. Her coming back into my life and the two of us being reunited in a way we never expected. That was the inspiration for me to go into the studio.”
“The album just came out of me. It was organic and beautiful, but I was definitely inspired by having this amazing second chance at finding real, true love.”
