Almost two years after their marriage, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are not entirely on the same page.
The couple have reportedly been ‘taking some space‘ to determine if the relationship ‘is right for both of them,’ a source said Us weekly.
A source close to the Golden Globe-nominated actress, 54, said Lopez “has begun to step up her work commitments and prepare for her tour.”
Lopez is preparing to embark on her This Is Me… Live tour next month in support of her ninth studio album.
“She’s very focused on work and trying too hard,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Affleck, 51, “disagrees with Jennifer’s lifestyle” and feels “worn down” by the marriage.
The Academy Award winner has been “checked out,” as the source noted that they are on “two completely different pages most of the time,” adding, “The honeymoon phase has passed.”
Another source close to Lopez said: “They both have demanding careers that often require them to be in different cities.”
Since the couple have recently been apart to film different projects, the source said the absence “highlighted the emotional and physical distance between them.”
“Over time, Jennifer and Ben found it increasingly difficult to communicate effectively and small misunderstandings turned into major arguments,” they said.
“They have fundamentally different approaches to conflict,” the source added, explaining that Lopez prefers to confront problems head-on, while Affleck doesn’t open up as quickly.
Their different approaches to parenting and finances have also “exacerbated” their marital problems.
Lopez has remained “committed to working on the marriage” and while Affleck was hesitant, the source said he has since started “investing more.”
Since moving out of his $60 million Bel Air mansion for a $100,000 monthly rent, the source said Affleck has “struggled with loneliness” and has “realized how much he misses Jen.”

As the couple recently split up to film different projects, the source said the absence “highlighted the emotional and physical distance between them.”
Affleck and Lopez are “reevaluating their priorities” during their time apart as they determine “what they really want from marriage.”
“Some believe they can work it out with time and effort, which shows their deep bond,” the source said of the couple’s friends. “Others think the relationship has run its course.”
The Justice League star was spotted without her wedding ring last week, but was wearing it again when she stepped out on Friday.
Lopez was also wearing her wedding ring when she stepped out in Los Angeles on Friday.
Reports about Affleck and Lopez’s marital problems began circulating last week after they had not been seen together since late March.
“Ben has already moved out and they will probably have to sell the dream home they searched for two years,” a source told In Touch.
“They will never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him and he can’t change her,” the source added. “There’s no way it could have lasted.”
Although the couple was finally seen reuniting last week at Fin’s school recital, he skipped the premiere of his Netflix movie Atlas on Monday.
After the Golden Globe-nominated actress banned questions about her marriage from the sci-fi film’s press tour, she had to decline a very direct question.
“You know better,” he told a journalist who asked him about the rumors during a news conference in Mexico City.
However, the Hustlers actress made no attempt to deny rumors that her fourth marriage is in danger.
