Jennifer Lopez appears to be on the verge of making a big real estate purchase after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck.
The 55-year-old actress and singer is currently exploring the possibility of purchasing the famed Azria Estate in the upmarket Holmby Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles, sources close to the property said. TMZ Wednesday.
The perennial star is “close to reaching an agreement” to purchase the 30,000-square-foot property, sources told the outlet, noting that he is offering between $30 million and $39 million for the home, which has an asking price of $55 million.
The property, named after its late owner, fashion designer Max Azria, who died aged 70 in May 2019, includes 14 rooms with luxury amenities including a home cinema and an infinity pool.
The outlet noted that there were potential complications in purchasing the property, as billionaire Ron Burkle had previously submitted a $30 million bid for the property to win an auction earlier this year.

The actress and singer is currently exploring the possibility of purchasing the famous Azria Estate in the luxurious Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.
This led to a lawsuit in May between Burkle and Azria’s widow, Lubov Azria, over allegations that the contract had been breached, the outlet reported.
The Love Don’t Cost a Thing artist has been in contact with both parties about a possible purchase of the property, according to TMZ, and the listing is held by Branden and Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates.
Last month, amid her split from Affleck, Lopez expressed interest in purchasing the property and has toured the grounds several times in recent weeks, sources told the outlet.
The Jenny from the Block singer had previously visited the home last year with Affleck while house hunting, TMZ reported, and had used it as a filming location for her latest movie, Atlas.
In another twist, the property is next door to the Los Angeles mansion that Lopez’s ex, Sean “Diddy” Combs, recently listed for sale for $61 million.
Other high-profile people who live in the neighborhood, the outlet reported, include music mogul Jimmy Iovine, businessman Sean Parker and designer Tom Ford.
Among the amenities offered by the estate are manicured gardens, a gym, a wine cellar, a greenhouse, a games room, a guest house, a tennis court, a large car park and an infinity pool with an adjacent sauna.

The potential sale is one of many major real estate transactions stemming from the split, as Lopez and Affleck have been looking to sell a $68 million Los Angeles estate called Crestview Manor, while Affleck has settled into a Brentwood, California, mansion he purchased over the summer around the time of the divorce announcement.

Lopez is the mother of 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, from her marriage to Marc Anthony, which lasted from 2004 to 2014.
Affleck, who was married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, has three children with her: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
