Jennifer Lopez seemingly broke her silence for the first time since filing for divorce from ex-husband Ben Affleck on Tuesday.
The 55-year-old singer posted to her Instagram Stories on Friday, though fans hoping for details about her mental state or her split from the 52-year-old actor were likely disappointed.
Instead of sharing new content, JLo reposted a selfie she took previously that had been shared by a fan account.
The post in particular had me a little perplexed as it appeared to be from a photoshoot in December 2020, according to People.
Jennifer looked as glamorous as ever in the throwback photo, which showed her sporting thick caramel-colored curls cascading down her shoulders and chest.
Jennifer Lopez seemingly broke her silence on Friday by reposting a selfie from a fan’s account. It was her first social media post since filing for divorce from Ben Affleck on Tuesday on the second anniversary of their second wedding ceremony.

The image appeared to be from December 2020, prior to her second romance with Ben, and featured a Christmas tree in the background.
She was dressed in a pale pink fleece jacket to suit the colder weather, and a Christmas tree could be seen peeking out in the back corner, confirming the photo was taken during the holiday.
Aside from the post, which Jennifer shared without comment or context, she has remained silent since filing for divorce.
It is worth noting that Jennifer filed the paperwork herself and did not have an attorney representing her, although she may have one in the future.
She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for filing for divorce.
Although she was the one who filed the lawsuit, and Ben seems to have chosen not to, We weekly On Friday it was reported that he was allegedly well aware of their plans.
According to a source close to the couple, the estranged couple “had already agreed to these terms before she filed the lawsuit.”
They said the two had “reviewed all the details” of the presentation in advance and described it as a “planned” event, rather than one designed to take Ben by surprise.
“JLo ultimately pulled the trigger because that was the agreement between them that she would file the lawsuit, and she was the one who ultimately made the decision,” the source added.
The report largely coincides with the couple’s decision to fake a healthy marriage for months with occasional public outings together, despite having already split behind the scenes.
The source noted that both parties “came with significant assets of their own,” so they reportedly don’t plan to fight over their wealth, leaving their massive Beverly Hills mansion as their only significant shared property that needs to be sold.
As a result, Jennifer did not seek any spousal support from her ex and asked the court to deny it to Ben.
Divorce attorney Chris Melcher told Us Weekly that although a prenuptial agreement was not mentioned in Jennifer’s divorce filing, that doesn’t mean the two didn’t have one in place.

Jennifer did not request any alimony and asked the court to deny it to Ben as well. She cited irreconcilable differences and said they split on April 26; she was seen with JLo in December in Los Angeles.
“It’s not mandatory to mention whether you have a prenup or not,” said Melcher, who has no ties to Lopez or Affleck’s legal affairs. “I wouldn’t infer that you don’t have one just because it’s not mentioned.”
She added that divorce forms in California, where JLo filed, don’t even have a box to indicate the presence of a prenuptial agreement.
She indicated that the date of their separation was April 26.
Jennifer and Ben tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on July 16, 2022, but then tied the knot a second time in front of family and friends at Ben’s property in South Carolina on August 20, 2022, two years before she filed for divorce.
