Jennifer Hudson and her rapper boyfriend Common are going strong.
The 42-year-old talk show host, who shared a snapshot of her elimination from American Idol 20 years ago, said People at the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday that she was feeling “wonderful.”
“Everything is wonderful,” Hudson gushed to the outlet, “That’s all you need to know.”
The couple initially sparked romance rumors in 2022 after a decade of friendship.
They confirmed their relationship to the public in January when Common appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
During the episode, Common walked in with a bouquet of flowers for the raven-haired beauty as they chatted about their love lives.

“I’m in a relationship… with one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met in my life,” the rapper said without naming a specific person.
“She’s smart, she loves God, there’s something really down to earth about her, she’s talented,” he continued before joking that he would prefer his partner to be an EGOT winner, something Hudson has already accomplished.
Common then asked Hudson how their relationship was going, to which she responded by saying she was “very happy.”
“This relationship is a happy place for me,” Common said of his. “Seeing her happy really makes me very happy.
‘So, I’m very grateful. “I thank God every day and just let God guide this relationship,” he said in reference to Hudson.
Later he sat down Today with Hoda and Jenna to discuss their close-knit and “private” relationship.
“We had a little fun,” the rapper said of his appearance on his partner’s talk show. ‘I felt like, why not just be loving and honest with who I am and who we are? And it felt good, it was fun, we had a good time.”
He noted that he is a “very private” person when it comes to “sacred things,” but shared that they “had a good time” filming together.
The couple first sparked dating rumors in October 2022 when they were seen enjoying time together in their hometown of Chicago after filming Breathe (2022).

In January, the three-time Grammy winner praised that he’s “grown up” a lot and that “the work” he’s done on himself “has allowed him” to see himself as “a guy who gets married.”
“I’m the type that I’m capable and I have the ability, and if at any point in my life I wanted to do that, I would know when the time is right,” he gushed during the interview.
“For me everything is divine,” he said. ‘I work from that insight that God speaks, when He speaks to your stomach and you feel it in your heart and in your spirit, then when I feel that, I will communicate with that person and if they feel that, why not ? ‘
