Jennifer Garner’s partner John Miller has told her it’s not his responsibility to help “fix” ex-husband Ben Affleck’s embattled marriage to Jennifer Lopez, insiders have claimed.
Garner, 52, has been comforting Affleck, 51, amid reports that a divorce is imminent, and last month was photographed at the Brentwood property he rents for $100,000 a month.
Now, sources claim Garner’s rumored fiancé, businessman Miller, 46, is tired of how involved she is in trying to “fix” Affleck’s relationship with the singer, 54.
“Of course John is upset that Jen is so focused on her ex-husband,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.
“He cares deeply about Ben and sympathizes with what Jennifer is going through, but that doesn’t mean Jen should be the one to fix her ex-husband’s problems with his current wife. That doesn’t make sense to anyone.

Lopez, 54, and Affleck, 51, have been plagued by reports that they are headed for divorce.
‘Jen is such a loving and wonderful woman and mother and there is nothing but a deep friendship and bond between her and Ben.
‘John wants nothing more than for Ben to be well, but it’s not his girlfriend’s responsibility to babysit him.
Ben has to figure that out on his own and his wife has to take care of it. It’s not Jen’s responsibility and he has told her that.
Garner first connected with the Cali Group chairman and CEO in 2018, the same year she finalized her divorce from Affleck, to whom she was married for 13 years.
They took a break from dating before resuming it in 2020 and have kept a relatively low profile since.
A second source claimed that Miller is trying to “stay out of” the current drama surrounding Affleck and insisted that his relationship with Garner has not suffered as a result.
“John stays out of it, he knows it’s none of his business, so he stays away from all that, because who wants to talk about their ex more than necessary,” they said. ‘But Jen can’t escape it because she’s everywhere.
‘It doesn’t affect your current relationship or life in a negative way. ‘She just wants to protect her children, and be there for Ben when he needs it, she allows him to do that.’
Garner, 52, has been comforting Affleck and has also been photographed at the Brentwood property he rents for $100,000 a month.
“John wants nothing more than for Ben to be okay, but it’s not his girlfriend’s responsibility to babysit him,” a source told DailyMail.com.
They added that Affleck is aware of being a “burden” and tries to avoid talking about his marital breakdown with his ex-wife, with whom he shares children Violet, 18, Fin (formerly Seraphina), 15, and Samuel, 12.
“Jen is monitoring everything and has told Ben time and time again that they can talk about anything and she will be there for him to vent,” the source said. “But Ben never wants to be a burden on her and instead he just talks to her about the kids and what they need.”
Affleck and Lopez, who rekindled their romance in 2021 before tying the knot at a lavish party in Georgia the following year, have been plagued by reports that their marriage is on the rocks.
Sources previously told DailyMail.com that Garner was trying to help save the couple, known affectionately as ‘Bennifer,’ and Lopez confided in the actress over shared fears that Affleck, a former alcoholic, could relapse.
Lopez also canceled her entire This is Me Now tour in an apparent last-ditch attempt to save her marriage.
In a statement, he said it was “absolutely necessary” to eliminate the long-standing commitment “to be with his children, his family and his close friends.”
But despite multiple efforts, the estranged couple appears set to divorce and are reportedly looking for a buyer for the $60 million mansion they bought to live in with their children.
On Sunday, they spent four hours locked in a summit meeting at the 12-bedroom property that recently appeared on estate agents’ websites, despite being delisted when they bought it in May last year.
Garner and Affleck were married for 13 years and share three children: Violet, 18, Fin (formerly Seraphina), 15, and Samuel, 12 (pictured in March 2014).
Lopez and Affleck rekindled in 2021 and married in a Las Vegas ceremony the following July, before hosting a lavish wedding at their Georgia estate in August 2022 (pictured).
Last month, Lopez was photographed viewing properties in Beverly Hills with her producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. Affleck was not present. A source later told Page Six that she was looking for an investment property.
Reports that their marriage was under strain began circulating when the frequently photographed couple went 47 days without being seen together.
During that time, Lopez attended the premiere of her Netflix movie Atlas and the Met Gala alone, while Affleck has been photographed on more than one occasion without his wedding ring.
Since then, they’ve put on several united fronts, including Affleck’s son Samuel’s recent graduation and the basketball game where the couple shared an awkward on-air kiss.
