Jennifer Garner reveals what she misses most from her pre-fame days: ‘The loss of just being able to smile at someone on the street and say hello as yourself’
Jennifer Garner revealed what she missed most from her days as a relatively unknown actress during a roundtable discussion with The Hollywood Reporter.
“It’s a huge loss when you’re the one who’s eyes are on,” said The Last Thing He Told Me star.
“The lack of just being able to smile at someone on the street and say hello as yourself is very intense,” she added.
The 51-year-old actress commented that while the privilege of being able to say hello herself was “something to grieve and not take lightly,” she also believed it was a “natural outgrowth of…success.”
In other words, Jennifer said, “It’s not something to be totally afraid of.”

The Houston-born actress first rose to fame with her starring role in Alias, where Jennifer played a double agent who worked for the CIA and a criminal organization.
During the roundtable discussion, the down-to-earth actress revealed that many fans still recognize her for her 13 Going on 30 role.
“It’s, ‘Oh, it’s my comfort movie,’ or, God forbid, ‘My mom’s favorite movie,” the mom-of-three joked.
However, the early 200s rom-com isn’t the only feature film Jennifer is known for.
She played a superhero years before Robert Downey Jr. made it cool, starring as the red leather-clad heroine Elektra in the 2003 movie Daredevil.
Daredevil was the movie where Jennifer fell in love with her second ex-husband, Ben Affleck.
The A-list couple tied the knot in 2005, the same year the brunette beauty’s first solo superhero film Elektra premiered in theaters.
Known to the world by their couple name Bennifer, Jen and Ben eventually split in 2018.

After their high-profile divorce, the Once Upon a Farm co-founder began dating John Miller, a businessman.
The couple has been together since 2018, making their relationship relatively low-key.
While the actress typically remains private about her personal life, she had something to add about losing anonymity during the roundtable discussion.
