Jennifer Garner had fun this summer with her 17-year-old daughter Violet, jokingly hiding behind her to protect herself from photographers.
The 51-year-old actress was spotted shopping at an eyewear store in Pacific Palisades on Monday.
The outing comes just after Garner opened up about what he misses most about his life before becoming a celebrity.

Violet opted for a long sleeveless white dress with red polka dots that fell to her calves.
She also wore clear-rimmed glasses with a bright yellow strap on her right wrist for the outing.
The teenager completed her look with a pair of gray running shoes similar to those worn by her mother.
She recently opened up about being known in public as a celebrity, adding, “It’s a huge loss when you’re the person the eyes are on.”
“The loss of being able to just smile at someone on the street and say hello like yourself is a really intense thing,” she added.
The 51-year-old actress noted that while the privilege of being able to say hello to each other was “something to grieve over and not take lightly”, she also believed it was a “natural outcrop of…success”.
