Jennifer Aniston, 55, has taken on a fun new role as the inner monologue of a high school student named Melody Brooks.
Melody is nonverbal and has cerebral palsy in the upcoming film Out of My Mind.
In the preview, Melody says, “This is obviously not my voice.” I can’t speak. And I can sound like whoever I want, so I chose Jennifer Aniston.”
The film is based on the 2010 novel of the same name by Sharon M. Draper and stars newcomer Phoebe-Rae Taylor as Melody.
A synopsis of the film states that Melody “has a quick wit and a sharp mind, but because she doesn’t speak and uses a wheelchair, she doesn’t have the same opportunities as her classmates.”
