A pair of conjoined twins have uncovered their incredibly unique lifestyle, revealing what it’s really like to inhabit the same body, while answering strangers who bombard them with vile questions about their lives.
As conjoined twins Carmen and Lupita Andrade, 23, are as close as two sisters can be, and they recently opened up about that bond during a very candid Q&A video shared on their social media accounts.
The twins, who moved to the United States from Mexico when they were two years old and now live in Connecticut, rrevealed the questions they are asked most frequently in a video posted on Tik Tok.
“We’re going to ask an FAQ, because some of you can’t shut up,” Lupita said in the clip, which has been viewed more than 9.8 million times.

When they were born, doctors told their parents they would probably only live a few days, but they have defied the odds and are now thriving – but share some unusual effects as a result of sharing body parts.
“If one of us is tired, it is not necessary for both of us to be tired because we have two separate brains,” Carmen begins in the FAQ.
‘Yes, one of us can be awake and the other can be asleep because, again, we have different brains. We are two different people,’ he noted.
Lupita also dispels any theory that they can control each other’s limbs.
“No, we can’t control each other’s limbs or halves,” he said.
“Yes, I can drive,” Carmen interrupted. “I have the right foot, so I drive.”
They added that they share a bloodstream, so getting drunk affects both of them, but they feel full at different rates because they have two stomachs.
“We are still two different people,” Carmen reminded her followers. “So we have two separate IDs and ID numbers, social security numbers and all that.”
Carmen then discusses some of the more confrontational and brave messages they receive, including what will happen if one of them dies.

Carmen has been dating her boyfriend Daniel for three years and has reminded her followers that he is only dating her, not Lupita as well.
Carmen said that Daniel and Lupita, who is asexual, are good friends, and revealed that the two often stay up late at night chatting after she has gone to bed.
“We share a bloodstream, so sepsis will eventually set in and obviously within hours or days the other one will die,” he explained. ‘But we’re not dead, so why always ask ourselves that?’
Another question they are also frequently asked is the legal ramifications if one of the women commits a crime.
“I’ve never been through that process, so how could we have that kind of knowledge?” Carmen responded to the somber question.
Carmen also addressed a topic that is talked about a lot: relationships and sex, since she and Lupita share a reproductive system.

They also told the outlet that because they “share” so many “internal structures,” separation surgery is too risky for them, but don’t get sick of each other, despite being together every second of the day.
