As for her own red carpet appearance, Jennifer said, “It depends on your hairdresser because they say, ‘Never do this! Always do this!’ I’m like, “Well, that feels weird.” I don’t know how to stand on a red carpet, but you try your best.’

And making friends on the carpet is also important: ‘I also try to connect with those people with cameras. Some of them I’ve known for a long time, so I say hello. Being honest with someone makes it easier.’

Aniston also shared how different her path to fame was from girls like Britney Spears.

“I call it the dog-and-pony show—travel to do press trips, red carpets, the shiny pennies. Do people really need all that? The work is what I love to do. It’s its promotion that causes me stress.

“You get a second of what you’re promoting, and then the rest of the ridiculous bullshit you’ve somehow gotten into a fight about. There’s a lot of appetite for that – and listen, I get it. But if you don’t give it, they’ll make it up.’

“It’s not just up there on the air or on a television set that you’ve passed by, but in our very body—our DNA, our bloodstream, our cells. It was a unicorn of an experience. For whatever reason, we were all in the right place at the right time and we created something that landed its flag on the hearts of many people around the world.

And Aniston also admitted to seeing SNL parody of her character Rachel Green.

Vanessa Bayer on Saturday Night Live. I remember someone saying, “Have you seen the impression of you on SNL?” My first reaction was “What? No, I’m not impressed” [-worthy].” They played it for me and [gasps]”I don’t sound like that.”

“Then I thought, ‘Uh, oh. Oh, I understand.’ Everyone said it was a compliment, but I really had to turn my head around that and tuck my tail between my legs, thinking I was being fooled. That’s always the gut feeling: “They’re laughing at me.”‘
