Jen Shah fans were excited after it was revealed that the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum would be released earlier than expected, thanks to her prison sentence being reduced for the third time.

The 51-year-old former reality star, who is currently serving time at the Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas, where she is apparently joining Theranos fraud queen Elizabeth Holmes, will now be released on November 3, 2026, according to Page six.

In February 2023, Jen, a mother of two, began serving 78 months behind bars for “running a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme,” primarily targeting elderly and vulnerable people.

But despite the seriousness of his crime, his fans wasted no time in celebrating the news of his sentence reduction.

One tweeted: “Freeing Jen Shah means you are upholding the US Constitution,” while another wrote: “The only thing the justice system can do right.”

Another joked: “Oh so the judges who reduced Jen Shah’s sentence are REALLY big #RHOSLC fans.”

And one more follower simply said: ‘Let her out right now.’

As for a possible RHOSLC return, fans are already weighing in.

One predicted, ‘Oh she’s definitely coming back to RHOSLC,’ while another wasn’t so interested and wrote, ‘Honestly, we don’t want her back.’ Their “reality” is not convincing and it seems that we have closed that chapter and moved on. Case closed.’

In March 2021, Jen was charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering and wire fraud for her role in a telemarketing scheme that defrauded elderly and vulnerable people.

She maintained her innocence throughout 2022 and during the RHOSLC season 2 reunion.

His former assistant and accomplice, Stuart Smith, pleaded guilty in November 2021, and Shah followed suit, changing his plea to guilty in July 2022.

In February 2023, he began serving his prison sentence and was also ordered to pay a hefty sum of $6.5 million in restitution.

Just two months later, in March 2023, its release date was moved up a full year, now set for August 30, 2028.

In February 2023, Jen, a mother of two, began serving 78 months behind bars for “running a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme,” primarily targeting elderly and vulnerable people.

But in October, it increased again, this time over more than eight months, until December 19, 2027.

Jen’s arrest was captured on camera during the filming of the second season of RHOSLC, with her entire trip to prison documented for the show.

Since then, she has kept her fans informed through updates posted on her website, Dear Jen Shah, which acts as a digital diary.

In December, her team shared a new update, assuring fans that Jen is doing great and focusing on personal work while at FPC Bryan.

They also mentioned that he is working hard on his “journey towards positive rehabilitation.”

Her team confirmed that she recently spoke with her co-star Meredith Marks on the phone, a conversation Meredith had revealed during an episode of Watch What Happens Live.

“Jen actually spoke with Meredith Marks (co-star) and the conversation was extremely positive,” her team wrote. “She loves Meredith and appreciates her friendship and support during this time.”

While serving time, Jen stayed busy.

“Jen is currently focused on her upcoming holiday beauty showcase inside FPC Bryan Prison and continues to send love to her family, fans and friends who continually send her messages of support,” her team shared.

“She is grateful for everyone who continues to pray and advocate for her in a positive way.”

In an interesting twist, Jen shares a prison camp with Holmes, the infamous founder of Theranos.

Holmes is serving an 11-year sentence for fraud and conspiracy related to false claims about his blood-testing technology, which promised to revolutionize medical testing using just a tiny drop of blood taken from a finger prick.
