Jeff Stelling harshly criticized Ben White for an image shared on social media during the international break.
White made headlines a fortnight ago when he turned down the opportunity to join the England camp for their friendlies against Brazil and Belgium during the current break.
The Arsenal defender did so after he reportedly clashed with England assistant Steve Holland at the World Cup in Qatar, leading to him leaving the field during the tournament.
He has not played for his country since and appeared to rule himself out of contention for a place at Euro 2024 by rejecting a potential call-up this time around.
On Saturday, the day the Three Lions lost 1-0 to Brazil for their first defeat at Wembley in 21 games, White’s wife Milly Adams shared a photo of the two playing cards in Dubai, and Stelling took offense to the photo .

“He decided he didn’t want to play for England in the matches against Brazil and Belgium,” Stelling said in Talk SPORT. ‘From the looks of it, she’s been enjoying her stay there.
‘While his England teammates suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brazil, Ben was enjoying a game of Uno and sunbathing on a beach in Dubai.
‘I have a bit of sympathy for people who play cards, but not for Ben. What are you doing?
‘What are you doing posting that you are in Dubai playing cards? You decided not to play for England, that’s fine. Your prerogative is to let the kids move on.
White and Adams appeared to be at Kyma Beach in Dubai, with the couple lounging on chairs in the sand with a picturesque pool and backdrop behind them.
Meanwhile, Southgate denied that White’s apparent split with Holland was the reason he turned down the call-up.
