Jeff Goldblum has revealed that an assistant director brutally shamed him for stinking up the set of the 1974 thriller Death Wish, his first film role.
The 72-year-old Wicked actor, who was just 22 at the time, recalled that he got so carried away with method acting that he stopped washing himself, much to the chagrin of his cast and crewmates.
After being called out, Jeff was so embarrassed that he learned the lesson to “always maintain hygiene.”
The father-of-two said: “I didn’t take a shower to play this street thug.”
