“When I see this photo I just want to give this younger version of me a hug and tell her that everything is going to be okay,” the award-winning journalist began the publication.
“When I was a child, I didn’t know I had dyslexia,” she shared. “She made reading so difficult that it made me feel so far behind the other kids.”

“Later, my community college professor changed the trajectory of my life by testing me for dyslexia,” he wrote.
“Nothing was ever the same after that, I learned how to learn and I will be forever grateful,” she gushed.
The media professional gushed that she is so happy that she can now appreciate World Book Day and be able to celebrate my love for reading and writing, which inspired her to write her first children’s book: The Fly That Flew To The space.
